Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Sentinel ("we", "us"), the operator of getsentinel.ai and the Sentinel software and services (the "Service"). By joining the waitlist, using the beta or paying for a plan, you accept them.

1. What Sentinel is

Sentinel is an AI model built on open-weight models, with agents that run inside it. On your instruction it plans tasks, runs tools, reads and writes files, browses the web and controls devices you connect. It can be used as a hosted service, as a desktop application that connects to a server you run, or as self-hosted software under a paid plan that includes it.

2. Accounts and the beta

• During the private beta, access is by invitation from the waitlist. An invitation is personal and may not be transferred.
• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
• Keep your sign-in link and tokens private. Everything done with them is treated as done by you.
• Beta features can change, break or be removed without notice. We may close the beta at any time.

3. Your responsibility for what Sentinel does

Sentinel acts on your instructions and under the rules you set (allowed tools, paths, devices and spend caps). You are responsible for the instructions you give, for the rules you configure, for reviewing the results, and for the consequences of actions its agents take on systems you connect, including deleted files, sent messages, purchases and deployments. Outputs are generated by machine-learning models and can be wrong. Sentinel is not a substitute for professional advice.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to break the law, to access systems you are not authorised to access, to harm or harass people, to generate malware or weapons, to infringe others' rights, to send unsolicited messages, or to circumvent limits or safety features of the Service or of third-party models it uses. We may suspend or end access for breaches.

5. Plans, payment and changes

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment provider, until cancelled. Prices are shown on the pricing page and exclude taxes unless stated.
• Usage limits per plan are described on the pricing page. We may throttle use beyond them.
• We can change prices with 30 days' notice; the new price applies at your next renewal. Beta members keep the beta price for the period stated when they join.
• Refunds and cancellation are governed by the Refund Policy and the Cancellation Policy.

6. Your content and your data

You keep all rights to the instructions you give, the files you connect and the outputs you receive. You give us only the licence needed to run the Service for you. We do not use your sessions, files or outputs to train models. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Third-party models and services

Depending on your plan and configuration, Sentinel sends prompts to third-party model providers (for example hosted language models) or to models you run yourself. Their terms apply to that processing. When you bring your own API keys, you are responsible for those accounts and their costs.

8. Software licence

Where a plan includes self-hosted software, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to run it for your own use for the duration of the plan. You may not resell it, remove notices, or use it to build a competing service. The software may include open-source components under their own licences, which prevail for those components.

9. Availability and support

We aim for the Service to be available continuously but do not guarantee it, especially during the beta. Support is by email at hello@getsentinel.ai.

10. Warranty and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, or actions its agents took on your instructions or under your rules. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We can end or suspend access for breach of these terms, or on 30 days' notice for any reason, with a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees in the latter case. Sections 3, 6, 8 (as to restrictions), 10 and 12 survive.

12. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and disputes go to its courts, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived. If a part of these terms is unenforceable the rest stands. We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email or on the site 14 days before they apply. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
